Academic section (Chapter 1)

Everything in this section is part of the story. It is the moment when the graduates are trained by a trader from the bank who teaches them the fundamentals so everyone reaches the same level. You learn alongside Enzo as he discovers how the trading floor really works, and this is also where he meets his future best friend… and a girl who seems a little strange from the very start.

The Golden Boy - Global Markets is volume 2 of the series and the natural continuation of the first book.

Enzo returns, now as a full-time graduate starting his rotation at one of the world’s leading investment banks. The book takes the reader deeper into the industry by showing how traders, salespeople, and structurers think, collaborate, and operate under pressure.

Unlike traditional finance books, this volume combines two dimensions:

The Golden Boy - The Intern is Volume 1 of the series and the starting point of Enzo’s journey into global markets.

In this first volume, Enzo learns how to break into a summer internship: the preparation, the key concepts to master, and the entire process candidates must navigate.

After earning an offer at a top investment bank, he steps into the industry through a very competitive summer internship. The book introduces the reader to the trading floor, the teams he rotates with, and the essential fundamentals he needs to understand this environment.

It remains intentionally accessible, with a lighter level of difficulty than Volume 2, which builds on it progressively.

Unlike traditional introductions to finance, Volume 1 uses a narrative approach to make complex ideas intuitive while revealing the reality of interviews, onboarding, and day-to-day life on the desk.

PRACTICAL section (CHAPTER 2, 3, 4)

Here, Enzo rotates through the roles of trader, sales, and structurer, learning each job in depth. He experiences how they actually operate by working as one of them, understanding the interactions, the workflow, and the business itself: how sales pitch, how structurers price, and how traders hedge in real conditions. And within this story, Enzo’s best friend will lead him to something strange happening behind the scenes, something he never expected to uncover.
